En lighten

Bless you for the energy of light you bring

An open heart full of longing

Willing to share and express it and not hold back

A consciousness full of courage

With the intention to look towards the positive

At times your light reveals so much of the fear inside me

Those disappointed places

Where I closed myself up so tightly

Like a withered flower

In response to the lack of sun

Hiding myself away in the dark

While longing for that light

I sensed was possible and missed so much

At times the warmth you bring

Shows me where I sometimes turned

So hard and cold

In response to neglect

Your open heart

Now offers me this opportunity

Promises me you will never give up

And so you are the magnet

Which will draw my soul

Ever closer to yours

A moth to the flame

Of the light and hope

And joy and tenderness

The sense of possiblity
