Love is

Love is

A soft accepting energy

A force for good

Often fierce

At times it can anger

When the way forward is thwarted

Or respect is not shown

For our feelings or soul

When our deeepest desires or truth

Are denied

But even then

Love will preservere

It will look for a way

Like water flowing around rocks

Like strong sun breaking through

The darkest clouds

Or the deepest night

After all the rage burns clear

Love will reveal

Truths hidden before

If we are brave enough to withstand the fire

And the fear of loss

And hold only to love
