Darkness falls

Darkness falls

Reminding me that you are so far away

And all roads are currently blocked to bring you here

What else can we do but surrender to this love

That flows

For wanting what the Universe cannot support

In this fear driven world

Where everything is about not living but protection

Deathly fear of inherent insecurity

Will only end in tears

And we may then waste years

If thwarted will

Blows it all to smithereens

So as I cook  and potter

I draw the curtains

On a winter night

As oven fan hums

I just try to remember its only time

And that nothing can lay to waste our wanting

Acceptance of reality comes hard

But is the only thing that will free us both

To not shatter this

To keep our hearts open

And loving

Trusting that a way will open in time

When the Universe knows

We will never give up
