What is love we ask
Often when our heart is breaking from the lack of it
At that moment turning deep within
We may feel the void of an aching emptiness
That we fear will bring us completely undone
As we find ourselves again
Hovering over that deep dark precipice of suffering
The want of love
Is the want of touch
Of someone whose eyes mirror back to us
Deeper truths that lie in our souls
Just waiting to be discovered and revealed
When we find ourselves lost
By the one who is willing
To open the shut gate in their own soul
And so teach us the way
Back to our own
But this is perhaps only possible too
From the ones who have opened enough
To embrace their own heart
In all its weathers
Or else just was lucky enough to have been filled from a young age
Within that place
So that now they encompass
And contain a well spring of love that is divine
So very far from just the mind
What is love?
It is the question we ask so often
In the depths of despair
And the answer only comes
At the end of a long journey
We so often never chose
But was really nothing less than
An opening
To our spiritual destiny
Oh, very touching words that is! Thank you so much for sharing!!! Love and light from Sabine

wow! so relatable. And I do agree with everything you’ve written here. Hard to determine what love really is. xo

A force of connection between hearts that encourages and allows us to be fully ourselves. Just my interpretation for today 🙂
