Indestructible

 

I believe that there is a way

For the sun to shine again

Despite all the rain

There is a time when the deluge

That we have been through has passed

And we are no longer so overwhelmed

What we needed to understand has been revealed

And the shifting sands we were standing on

For a time become solid land

Because inside we have found

Despite all our suffering, loss and change

An eternal place within

That is

Indestructible

And I am also well aware

That due to change and impermanence

The fundamental givens of life

This feeling of indestructibility will also pass

But just for the time

When I feel this light

Surround me

As my feet kiss and bless the solid land

I will relish in the understanding

That some essential part of my spirit

Just may be

Indestructible
