When skies cry
You know the lullaby is ending
You stood on the circumference of the known world
And then descended
To a place where it seemed all was taken
And you were so mistaken
About who you thought you were
There at a place where there is no altar
Every step you takes seems precarious
And you falter
On the edges of a new place
As a seemingly unknown world
Reveals itself
In the place where forgotten parts of you
Lingered
Just waiting for you to remember them
So now when the skies cry
And you fear you will not ever be able to fully live
Without the comfort of that lullaby
Just remember
That becoming your own mother and father means
That the child in you does not die
But learns to live again
On a more solid foundation
After finally finding stronger legs to stand
On the ground where flowers grow
Nurtured by the tears
Shed by heaven
At lullaby’s end
Just beautiful.

Im proud of this one as it just arose as pure stream of consciousness beyond thought. And I posted it as it came out fully formed just like Pegasus. 🙂
