Thank you so very much to my new followers for embracing my blog Emerging from the Dark Night (Just reached 991 after 4 years and 4 months of blogging).  Each connection made on here fills my cup in ways you will never know.  I have in the past few weeks connected to some amazing poets on here that I feel so proud to call friends.  Check out these three in particular if you haven’t already.

There are other wonderful bloggers too that I am sorry I cannot mention in this post alone.  But you all fill my heart with your words and I feel so lucky to witness your journeys.

Since I started blogging on WordPress, (my first post was in December 2013) I have read so many wonderful stories and poems.  This site just lights up my world and on the deep dark suicidal days after my sister died and coming out of a toxic relationship it has literally saved my life.  I write to inspire others going through their own ‘dark night’ to remind them we are not crazy just emerging out of a crazy system that is undergoing its own breakdown/mutation/transformation.

Love light and heaps of peace to all those on the path of opening their hearts to love, growth and change in these turbulent times of emergence.

Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  1. Thank you for the mention. It is truly wonderful to connect. I have loss quite a bit in my life from close friends to family, all at young ages, so I know the darkness as much as the night does. But I’ve learned and accepted that there are things we have no control over and life does, indeed, move forward, with or without us. I choose to move forward. Blessings to you!   2. Thank you so much for including me! I am very grateful that we have met and I have been so moved by your writing and your courage. Loss is, and has been for so long, a main character in my life. It has changed me irreparably, but also taught me so much about being alive. Thank you for continuing to share your story.
