The birthplace of the mysterious

Earth Womb

Help me because sometimes this grief seems too large for me to hold Sometimes it feels as though all that I have lived through and witnessed will tear me apart but is that not really the nature of this transformation process to find ourselves on the edge of something so goddam vast and almost impossible to contain or grasp  That in breaking open at that moment of most extreme tension gives birth to a new state of being and consciousness

Maybe the test for some of us is to just hold as this awesome and terrible power moves through and acts upon us Could it be that we as cells in the body of this earth feel with the earth mother her deep cry of pain for those children of hers who have lost their way Who when they look on a forest see not a sanctuary of beauty to steep themselves within but inside a pile of wood to be turned to useful purpose And yes nature does give to us its gift of resources for us to use but we must always do so in a way that is conscious of that state of balance and flow and order We cannot take more or place more of a burden on nature than she can bear and the same goes for our body and our strong yet tender souls who ask of us receptivity on both inner and outer levels.. That we honour both/and rather than either/or in our lives that we treat our own souls and bodies and those of every living creature with that reverence seeing it then and all of us as sacred, as part of an intricate interconnected web, as the birthplace of the mysterious.

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

  1. Well said, it is a big journey and we will get tested at times. But that very testing is the making of us…one day we will look at something we have seen 50,000 times and suddenly it will show us something never seen before and in that one instant of recognition another world opens…but instead of struggling in a pain filled world of conditions, it will show us…us.
And in that understanding it will release something old, no longer needed, use by date reached and a weight released…that wall of fear. And in that vacuum will come something so different it will almost leave us in shock, an understanding that will release something else also…our ability to love ourselves. For in that understanding is the reason we held those fears for so long AND the realisation that we ARE so much more worth than what we always thought of ourselves. And in that understanding we will begin a totally more peaceful, more happy and very much more loving place within.
Yes, it is hard…but if it wasn’t we wouldn’t finally appreciate all we have endured to fully appreciate who we are and what we have now achieved…and love ourselves…because of it ❤
