How can I find the words

To reach across this vast expanse

That separates you and me

To reach your heart

Sometimes words bring not connection

But separation

Are we not better sometimes

To simply reach out a hand

And allow the feel of skin on skin to say

More than words can

When I feel you

Then there we are

You and I

Connected in the silent togetherness

Fully communicated soul to soul by touch

Here awake in the precious present moment
