Such kindness and empathy from my followers
Really touches my heart so deeply
Often it is scary to unmask
These deep wound and injuries
From my past that left scars
People never really knew
All I went through
Or suffered inside
All those years long past
Finding my sobriety was only the start
Of a deeper journey
That led a long a path of thorns and brambles
To my aching heart
When I take the risk to open up and expose
I am never sure how it will go
But when the degree of tenderness and empathy
Is shown
I can only break down and cry
Feeling that my effort to express
Has not been in vain
(Thank you Bethany)

While I know exactly how courageous it is to Open up , I think it is cathartic and certainly a part of the Healing and enriches not only Your Journey but gives a “voice” to those who have not been able to open up or even find the words to express Their Pain. I think YOU are an inspiration and So much a comfort to those who NEED to Hear they are not going through their own hell Alone. I remember my first PTSD Group so many years ago. The first thing we were told was if we had Not experienced trauma(s) we did not belong in that group. And although there were Many different kinds of traumas that we each had experienced, to HEAR…to KNOW…that the results/side-effects we each were experiencing were so much the same was such a comfort in its own. I applaud YOU!! Keep on Keepin’ On Si-STAR!!! ❤
