Some else knows your grief

Child 4.jpg

Though it may be hard to know

That someone else has known your grief

Please my darling

Believe it’s true

Its not that this can be

Full consolation

Or ever redemption

How could it be

The burdens and pain and memories you carry

Are real

You saw so many doors close

As those who tried to love you

Walked away

Turning on their heel

Not undersanding how torn apart

Your hidden heart was inside

And you carry those memories

As well as the torment of all that leaving

All those broken threads

Which so often nearly killed all hope

And your will to live

To reach out again

But remember how

In later years

As you shared this burden

People reached out

From deep within to say I am so sorry

And recognise your pain

Know that life is not gone yet

You watch each day new wrinkles grow

And know how much care and worry

As well as grief

Have etched their presence on your face

But can you see those eyes

Limpid pools

That give you a view

Into deeper realities

Than others can see

Remember the wise woman in the dream

Who lost her baby after only one year

The pain of a deep ancestral past

Whose truth you did not yet know

Put new life to death then

It returned you to your home

By way of many attempts at exit

And here you lay down weeping and twisting

As you did battle with the wreckage of your past

With broken dreams held close

But now the moment seems to be asking you

To surrender it all to the wind

Can you

Should you

Is that longing just another useless dream?

Or your deeper soul whispering to you

There is more

You just have not found it yet

And you are still shedding husks

To reveal the precious jewel of your soul

Which lays uncorrupted deep inside

Waiting to shine

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.
