That polarity and paradox

Lies at the heart of everything

Joy comes sometimes

And makes a nest of feathers in your heart

Sadness comes sometimes

And puts barbed wire around your heart

But then one day

You awaken

And the heart that was torn apart

Is mending

You see further than you could before

Stretched there to the widths of the horizon

You sense so deeply

An infinite ocean

With its endlessly shifting tide

Breathing and giving birth

To an entire universe
