Other people’s souls bared
Show me barren places they visit
And where I too sometimes live
Looking around
Looking within
Feeling that I am lacking
Or that things are not good enough
And yet does the oak tree think
Am I enough
It simply stands straight and true
And holds up a canopy of green beauty we can rest under
Is it part of our human becoming
That we feel the need to become more
Have we forgotten how to simply be
To find the beauty in this precious moment
When our heart is full of pain
Can we kneel down and kiss the earth
Honoring the truth that we live
On hollowed ground
And are within our deepest souls
Enough
Beautiful ❤
