Keeping it together : Letting go

You try so hard to keep it all together

It is no wonder you are bound up so tight

There is a measure that you are trying to live up to

That has nothing to do with you

But with things long past that fell underneath the surface

In the oceanic depths they slumbered

Cyclic DNA spiral

Only to rise again

Then there is the flood

That you are trying to hold back

No it isn’t only flood

It is ancestral deluge

And its power is far too much for you to hold back darling

Let go

Let yourself rest

What will happen if you do?

Maybe you will start to unravel

From trying to stitch everything up so tight

Break away to start your own life

This responsibility you are carrying

Was never yours

You were the observer

But perhaps now you need to be the one

Who forgets

Who turns away

The one who finally decides

For the purpose of rebirth

To put the focus on your own life

And leave the flood behind

I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

    Love that…the whole thing is great but that line stuck out for me because I’ve been thinking this same thing and it’s been a message coming through in posts I’m reading tonight.

    1. Wow interesting . I often wonder if we who struggle with so called mental disorders or PTSD are actually the one’s awakening to the level of trauma on our planet that comes from an old way of living that isn’t heart or truly feminine centred. We have to break away as the old way is a death way and it leads to a death culture. I don’t know if this makes any sense to you. Very interested to hear about the other posts where you are reading the same message or theme. We just had a powerful full Moon which I think is something to do with breaking open to a deeper authenticity within. Don’t know what you think about this idea.

      1. Yeah, I’ve wondered that in a way too. I question whether we are the scapegoats of society …if you will.

        So yeah, everything you said makes sense. And what you said about the full moon, I think it’s an interesting and intriguing idea.

        There was just one post actually that I thought of pertaining to breaking free. She doesn’t say those exact words but it was the essence of the post, even through all the pain.
