Fire wants to dance and rise
it sets its sights on open skies
and bright and open fields of wonder
ripe with meaning
Water keeps closer to the earth
it has follows
its own meandering dance
and sometimes fire sees water as a threat
that could so easily
extinguish it
This is the meaning I am showing you
of what the elemental forces were
surrounding and enclosing you
Do not feel that you are dying
when, in truth
there is so much that your soul is aspiring
to
The grounded earth of nature
seeks solidity and sensation
but the soul strong in fire
basks in the energy of intuitive knowing
To one the other seems
insane at times
but each and every element has its place
in the human scheme
Fire refuses to be buried or drowned
and yet at times
it fears both earth and water
since both forces
(it senses)
may lead to
its undoing
