With everything in me I loved you
Sensing your pain o
Of course my tender heart
Wanted to take it away
Deep inside
I am still that child
Who sometimes forgets
The limits of my power
I see and hear the toxic inner critic hurting you
It tells you over and over how far you fall short
Of human perfection
But aren’t we all flawed in some way
Do not our bodies
And fragile hearts break
At times under the weight of all of this
Unlovingness?
And are we not all on a very long
And very complex journey of evolution?
We have yet to glimpse the all encompassing love
Of mother God
We are yet to do away with the schism
That cuts us off
And splits us apart
From the pure knowing
Of our truest essence
We fall here it seems into all forms of separation
And when our hearts catch fire
Then the painful burning must be endured
That can often feel too too much
A storm our body and soul
Struggles to bear
And yet, we need to weather it
For we are yet to know that kind of love
The one that in its truth
Violence, force and power
Obliterates all of the untruths we were fed
When we fell into
The lie of separation
