Many of us born in the 1960s were born with Chiron in Pisces. Ruled by Neptune, Pisces is the sign of collective consciousness and mass delusion, of the desire to merge and the longing to return to source.. Chiron relates to wounds that make us more conscious and more compassionate so I could not help but think a lot about this when starting to read Susan Cain’s book Bittersweet yesterday as these are the themes she explores in that book : longing, compassion born through embracing sadness, the sense of something larger than us, that connects us to the eternal and timeless and also erases the ego divisions between us which lead to so much division and destruction on planet earth.. I will include a talk on this by Eckhart Tolle at the end of this post.
Thinking and feeling a lot of my grandfather’s war suffering this week also made me remember that Chiron was in Pisces during the First World War, that dream of being sucked down into the mud and of it resonating with the forces that pulled me out of loving relationship from 2002 onwards, leading to a dark night of the soul and encounter with ghosts of our family heritage made me see deeper connections. Myself and both of my sisters have all experienced prolonged periods of immobilization due to either injury, illness or mental health issues.
There is a very strong influence in the charts of my mother, second sister and I all around the first 5 degrees of Pisces with it being the placement of my mother’s Mars (action and buried masculine drives), my sister’s Sun (sense of self or father heritage) and Venus (relationship planet also ruling perhaps a confused sense of self value) and then my Chiron at 4 degrees which is where I often felt so wounded by both of them and how judgemental at times I found them, while sensing in them both depths they seemed to have lost the way to. But lately I am seeing how my own incapacity to see into the far reaching roots of their own ways of being actually led me to split off and fear being close due to feeling often wounded, hurt or misunderstood (all Chiron issues and especially with Chiron in Pisces ruling sensitivity due to anxiety or grief issue buried so deeply in the collective unconscious of my mother’s family.)
Now that I am attempting to open my heart to love, to stop the blocking of that force through fear and judgement myself so much more is becoming clear, but I am also realizing my sensitive nature does mark me out as it does a lot of people. I am including an article on Chiron in Pisces below. It is about the last transit which ended a few years ago, as Chiron is now in the fire sign Aries and actually began to turn retrograde the other day.. I hope some find it of interest.. The shift from water to fire is one we just went through with the transiting moon.. I noticed yesterday I was so much less sucked under and had more energy available around the time the Moon shifted from water to fire.
Here is the Chiron in PIsces article

And here is one on Chiron in Aries
I will be exploring more about Chiron in Aries soon as it has to do with the fiery impulses in us to flow and have our own source identity, something many now wish for, to be less run by old programs and limits that do not speak to our soul or help us to connect to each other as souls not only individual personalities.. As Anita Moorjani notes in her book on empathy and empaths Sensitive Is The New Strong our larger soul is far more all encompassing and connected to other realities than the mundane world allows us to believe.. We sensitive ones often get socialized out of the impulse to connect with larger forces but many of us also find our salve in nature and experience greater wholeness within when we learn to see life and ourselves as energy beings with many different dimensions to ourselves
Anita’s near death experience showed her the vastness of the soul’s journey as well as deeper forces in play in her own life that led her to developing a cancer that could never have been healed in the antiquated old world model that did not take in the influence of having our souls’ squashed as we grow.. There is far more to us than meet the eye and many of us can find help from transcendant dimensions as Anita does and her book on sensitivity is one I highly recommend.. I get a lot of help from it..
Aries is the source fountain of chi or life energy if you will that we most need to be connected to to feel in flow.. When we are conditioned not to listen to what our soul needs the we suffer.
The talk below by Eckhart Tolle is the one I mentioned earlier.. It also shows how identification with a separate ego self when the ego uses it’s power to put itself above others who are different speaks also to the need that everyone has to express in their life as they need to, not as anyone else ordains they must.
