The root chakra (muladhara) : our being’s foundation

Lately I am getting out to a wild spot near us as much as I can as early as I can.. Especially with the minus temperature winter mornings increasing to let Jasper run free, feel the healing of the earth and the many trees in this space as well as ground myself by sitting on the earth while absorbing the sunlight (when it is out) does make me feel so so good and full of energy and positivity. It is also an excellent antidote when others are pulling on my energy for yet more ‘help’.

I just did some research a moment agon and found this very interesting article on the root chakra (muladhara) from Sadhguru (this is a link from another part of that site on the 7 chakras and you can read a long piece on each one there).. He mentions in it how our physical body evolves out of the energy body as a baby.. But I am more interested that in our culture often the first two or three centers are considered ‘lower’ centers when in fact they are vitally important. As he says, without a good ‘root’ foundation it is hard for us to manifest anything in this life, or to experience a feeling of solidity and stability.. That is my experience as I do feel I have lacked that sense of solid ground in my own life and when this is missing we tend to be more swept away by other energies as empaths, especially if we and our parents lacked nurturing.

I hope you find something interesting and of benefit in reading this article.

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.
