The silence knows me well
It whispers my name
As inky blackness
Descends
As the dark wave
Claims me
Sounding a deafening roar
That drowns out so completely
Any memory of love
Tectonic plates of certainty and safety
Shift
Tilting my consciousness sideways
Dark moist leaves litter the ground
As we briskly walk
The dusky streets
As wild winds whirl
All around us
Speaking to me of
Armageddon
Hi Deb .. It’s very silent here, excep For the rain and the sound of a cold wind … I’m sitting at my computer looking at the dark clouds, and the dull sky, and wondering where the daylight has gone … and then I wrote this Tanka
Infinity (a Tanka)
Beyond the daylight
A trillion light-years away
Can there be more light?
Where does the universe end?
Is infinity the light?

I took myself out in the car so I could be in the sunlight Ivor.. It got me down yesterday it was so super soggy.. its why I wrote that poem.. I felt better for it.. we do come from light but this world seems so shut down and full of darkness at times.. there is a greater reality I know this so deeply in my heart but that Tanka and the longing in it makes perfect sense to me.
