Let me be
Allow me to breathe
I am not your saviour
And if you are drowning
Learn to swim
Or allow the tides to carry you
There are difficult truths you must swallow
Painful circumstances you must face
Often all alone
There are losses you must know
It’s just way things goes
Do not blame it all on life
Because it is never a free ride
All of these tides
Yes at times they threaten to overwhelm
But these givens
Your circumstances
Challenges and being
Are an ocean
And no one on earth or in heaven
Can save you from
Your lessons
Has the ability
To rescue you
From yourself

Yes, so true! There are difficult truths one must go through to “learn to swim” as it is our journey … ✨

Sometimes we unknowingly, take up the role of, someone else’s, savior, when we weren’t, supposed to, and, we became, burdened, with the need, to save that other person, when it wasn’t, even, out, responsibility to, and, it became, too, burdensome, to us, and we get, crushed.
