I will rebel
As you never made me feel a part of anything
And from a young age I sensed
There was something very strange
Going on around you
Who could know that then I felt so much more
Than I could ever tell of
Things you carried
And then the leavings
And the stealing of the light
The 1960’s
Were such dark and volatile time
Times of rebellion
When awesome power of the wild exiled feminine
Was returning
Long hair
Sex and drugs and rock and roll
Took us ever deeper into a hole
Of emotional confusion
So if you feel the obliteration now
They forced you to live inside
And if you head feels at times
As if
It is
Exploding
Then set them free
All of these tears you cry
And allow yourself in the quiet
To live for while
Deep inside the gestating power of
The raging
The fury
The rebellion
The call of the wild
For to reconcile the mistake
Will take some time
And if you carry the message
Do not expect your voice
To be welcomed
By many
Instead learn better to welcome and enjoy
Your own exile
As you draw closer and closer
To the powers of creation
That seek for you
To know
To embrace
And to love them
A beautiful heartfelt poem Deb! ❤
