The wind breathed your name

Like a beautiful sigh

As within my mind all of these memories of you

Passed on by

And words you said filled my heart

With the meaning of your spirit

Lately I feel so alone

And yet not alone

Even as daily living becomes a heavy burden

Still I must remember to touch life lightly

Some say our cells are transforming

From denser forms to crystalline

To watch our dreams for signs

And lately I try more often to draw

So much closer to the quiet

To the fullness of silence within which

Your loving spirit

Guides me

For even these days

As life seems harder

Somewhere deep inside change is occurring

To embrace it I must keep moving forward

Even as my exhausted heart

Begs for rest

For a cosmic release

From this heavy blanket

Of toxic self criticism

And lovelessness
