Tenderly you looked upon me

With healing eyes

And a heart full of compassion

Understanding the longings and fears

I hid underneath all of the fighting and yelling

But most of all

By acknowledging this

You gave me a place to open

To the truth trying so hard

To make itself known

There is a home inside me now

For the heartbroken self

And with that comes the shedding of the false

For in opening to the heartbreak

I allow my soul to speak to me

And right away

In that precious moment of possibility

Presence opens

As I find my way back to the truth

I always needed

To live

To be

To breathe

To acknowledge

To embody
