Sorry seems to be the hardest word at times
But what will it take for an aching heart to mend
For a wounded self to heal
For all of the damage and scars we carry
To mend?
And how can we ensure we do not
Inadvertantly
Pass our suffering on?
Some argue that they will put up the shield
To deflect others negativity
But what was it in them that turned that energy
Into black or white
Wrong or right?
Did they listen deep for the fear that may have prompted
This
Were they able to love the wounded anyway?
I do not have the answers to these
Unanswered and difficult questions
But a wise man once said
To me
Perhaps in the end it is our capacity to wonder
About the inner landscape of another
Perhaps it is the ability to show compassion
Which will turn around our attitude to the passion
That seemed to turn so toxic, dark and black
And then imprisoned its sufferer
Firmly inside the gates
Of inner hell
Such important thoughts here. Love it!
