Out of the spiral
Your voice and pain calls to me
Asking me to recognise
What happened
Pleading to me that
All of this suffering
Will not be in vain
There was a darkness you had to bear
It was the heaviest of weights
And you had no help at all
All you could do was walk forward
Bearing that load
Into the storm
Until at times
You became the storm
I am so deeply sorry
For what happened to you
The ending of it all
Will not come
Until the terrible energies
Are untangled
And unraveled
What will it heal
If I blame you
For
Wounds you bore
And acted out unconsciously?
This pain and absence and fear
Bequeathed to me by fate
What will bring the resolution
Or ending of the hurting
Will this not only come
When we surrender all of this pain we carry
To the transforming fires
Of containment and love
As our souls undergo this unravelling
Sucked again into to the spiral
Where we feel you
And free our souls
From this all of this
Deep pain
You bore
To sow new seeds
Of compassion, understanding
And joy
