Pain can be informative.. it can be instructive, if we try to numb our pain what are we saying to life, “go away, I do not like the form your lesson is taking, I would rather not go through it, so I must turn away” What and who is it that we are saying No to and turning away from then in choosing to medicate ourselves rather than deeply feel, face and process the truth for us?
I try to remain realistic over my limits these days, not to indulge in the fantasies there is something I can do when those around me make certain choices.. As children it is impossible for us to accept that our parents can do wrong that they are hurtful, if they say they are doing something for our own good it may not be true but as young ones we just believe it and it may, in the end, make us turn against ourselves. There may also be a time to take on board the tough lesson, that the price of trying to stay connected to those old scripts will be damaging.
In this regard I was interested to do a search on what is called the Sabian Symbol which is an image that is given for each of the 360 degrees of the 12 zodiac signs. I did this today with the awareness that the station to move forward of transiting Pluto will take place on the 7th of October very close to the New Moon at 13 Libra 25 conjunct Mars at 13 Libra 47 on 6th of October. The degree for the current position of Pluto in the sky is 24 Capricorn 19 and so we look to the Sabian Symbol for 25 degrees of Capricorn.
Here is what I read about it:
As an individual you can only be oriented in one way at any given time. This is like standing in the light of the sun. Your stance and direction will always cast a shadow. Walk towards the Sun and your shadow is behind you. Walk away from the Sun and your shadow is before you.
That you are ever oriented in one way is not a dismaying situation. It is a fact of existing. As a 5th degree in this series of symbols, there tends to be a creative genius at play.. things tend to work out. So, if you take a position, take a stand, set off in a certain direction, you are indeed casting a shadow, yet, this tends to be a good thing, perhaps clarifying a difficult situation.
Capricorn 25 points to the strength to take a stand, make a choice and accept the full range of consequences for that choice. this indicates a strength of character that brings a refreshing clarity.
What I take from this it that as Pluto moves forward to reveal essential things we were working on diving deep down inwardly emotionally to uncover for the past 5 months (note Pluto went retrograde this year on 17th of April at 26 degrees of Capricorn), we must stand firm in the knowing and insights we have gained into what behaviors, patterns or relationships may need to be transformed, released or shed, since these three things are all the function of Pluto.
At times taking a stand to move in one direction involves the shedding, death or loss of something. We may have even had to face things not working out (during that period of Pluto retrograde) as we hoped for a reason.. We may also need to dig deep for the lesson of why, where may it have been we were resisting necessary change that wants us to head in a new direction?
Refusing to take on board, face and process deep emotions as well as issues of responsibility and power would be refusing the Pluto push to transformation? Where we feel weak may have shown us, too, where we were surrendering power. Pluto may also be showing us what strong boundaries (Capricorn/Saturn rulership) must we adhere to as we decide the direction we now wish to move forward in for the following 6 months of its direct motion?
Sit with yourself. Be with your feelings and inward knowing at this time. Pray to be open in the forward movement. Stay strong in your choices and convictions.. You can and do have the capacity to align yourself with the power of forward motion. And be aware that as the planets continue to move forward over the next few days and weeks the Moon and then the Sun and Mars will all move into tight square aspects with transiting Pluto as well. Libra rules relationships not only with others but with our own inward masculine and feminine energies, thus issues of control and passivity and the push for your own needs vying with th needs and control or passivity issues of others will be under review.
Passive aggression may be one approach to difficulties around issues of desire, need and control. With Mars in the sign of its detriment (Libra rules the oppose sign of the Mars rules sign of Aries where it is strongest in it’s self focused desire nature/power) power struggles, too. may therefore be a strong focal point of the period where all of these deeply personal energies face off with the more impersonal seemingly uncaring energy of Pluto. Pluto only cares that we be honest and change it often does not care for our feelings, so if difficult emotions emerge as we face these issues then we have to find meaningful and inwardly supportive ways both to contain as well as release and express them in relationships with mutual respect for both our own needs and desires and feelings as well as those of others.
