Lost in the silence
Are the important feelings
That never find their voice
And the negative thoughts
That in remaining unsaid
Bring us only heartache
Breeding the dried out husks
Of inner contempt
Never desevered
Maybe more struggle
Inwardly than we will ever know
With their inner demons
And old ghosts
Only ever showing
Things hidden in the shadows
Of a golden Self
That had to be swept away
So far out of sight
For fear of the light
So when you go towards the silent
And the unsaid
Be reverent
Listen deeply
With your whole body open
For often
And sadly
We becomes so well versed
At hiding the misjudged fragile thing
The very seed
That may have given life
To the most fragrant
And mysteriously beautiful
Of inner blooms
