My quiet profound moments with my dog Jasper give me the greatest peace I can find lately. Settling into the quiet, feeling a force of love, gentleness, warmth and present bodily connection between us, this to my soul, spirit, mind and heaet is most comforting most nurturing most expansive. Here alone we feel.most complete. The demands of others, their sorrows, longings, disconnections from their own soul cannot trouble us here.
In fact just then these words from the Bible came to me :
“Let not your heart be troubled.”
See even in loneliness, tragedy and sickness something profound is working out. It may be even opening us up deep inside. Often the breaking apart, painful as it is leads to new life..sometimes deep dark fallow periods are precursors to seasins of new birth.
To trust there is a wisdom and purpose is to my mind both humble and divine and depends upon my ability to align with Gods will for my soul and life. And inner forces exist for comfort, to help us heal.our pain, to give us shelter, meaning, comfort, encouragement and understanding. The ego may ease God out, it might stop us seeing what is good, in focusing on negatives it may take us down to a datk, lonely, loveless, soulless place.
Peace comes for me when I resist these robbers of peace. It takes awarenees, an ability to turn to what nourishes my soul, for always, always there is a place of peace available that I can find when I surrender the sense of unrest, worry or agitation and instead choose to centre myself in the affirming, soul sustaining and eternal place of spiritual light.
Peace is hard to find. When we find it, then let’s grab it. ❤️
