It is never too late to nurture your soul
It is never too late to know
That somewhere deep inside of yourself
You are already whole and know what you need
It is best to understand that pain
Is always warning sign
Of something happening deep inside
In response to the way the outer world
Meets or fails to meet us
There is a natural hurt that we feel
When the truth of us
Is not fully received
A sense of emptiness when shame
Begins to be the constant refrain
We hear internalized
Whenever we try to be and express
Our real
Real is something we will
Instinctively know
Those who love us unconditionally will help us
To sow and grow
New seeds
For when we twist ourselves into another shape
God knows how lost we become
And how long it can take
To find our home
So keep trusting
In the messages of your soul
For deep inside you already know
What you love
What you need
To nurture new growth
And feed your soul
Emerging From The Dark Night 
You’ve captured it so beautifully. It is heartbreaking so many forget this. I know I did.
But also so uplifting to know, like you’ve shared, we never LOSE who we are just the path to ourselves becomes more difficult. But it is forever there waiting to guide us back home to ourselves.
