We will breathe
Til breathing stops
And when the tide of feeling rises
On this breath
We will choose or not choose
To ride these waves
Opening our body
Freeing our soul
Letting go of fixed ideas
Allowing only these visions of wisdom
Rising
To inform our soul
There is an axis we spin upon
There is a song God gave us to sing
Our minds and hearts know the melody
And singing it
Calls us closer and closer to our kin
Trust this breath
This voice
These feelings
But do not force your tide
Upon anyone
For even though we are all
Part of this infinite ocean
Some of us live on islands
We try and often fail
To make safe and secure
From the tides and tidal waves
For not all of us
Are ocean dwellers
Letting it all in, is quite scary, because we fear getting, drowned, and yet, if we don’t let these, raging waves, in, we will never know, how we are, able, to survive through these, crashes…
