come undone

there may be a time

I will unravel

as my body travels along this path

of unwinding my separate self

from my family fate

and so often we wear a blindfold

only guided by this soul cry

that resonates from ages past

weaving themes within themes within themes

lost in a forest

of wild animals

can we make friends with the call

of fractured instinct

that echoes

and pull us on this quest

there is a time I lay

my body and will

drowning

in pools of tears

there was age old anxiety and fear

still to rise up

still to bear

and so it seemed I was lost

but at least I knew it

at least I tried in some way

to reach deeper

but who knows even now

if i was not

just
