Reach out a hand to the ones who have fallen
Let them know that you hear the calling
Of their cries for understanding
For everybody lies sometimes
And sometimes it seems our conditioning
Only encourages us to pretend
That we are strong
For me
I take my strength from fallen times
I am beginning to be grateful
For all of the tears I cried
That opened my heart to a deeper truth
And gave me proof of how
I loved and longed to love
For love so often lives
All wrapped up inside a parcel of grief
And sometimes it is our body soul and heart
That we must unwrap tenderly
Because when we meet our vulnerability
Only then do we learn how to
Kneel and bend
And be a true friend
To the fallen
