Courage

Courage means we open our hearts to life and change. We stop fighting the Universe and instead try to align ourselves with the flow. If we have fears we recognise them. We admit we feel vulnerable or possibly inadequate but we have a go keeping our ego out of it.

There is an AA acronym for EGO it is Easing God Out. God may have plans for us that arrive in another shape or size to our ideal. Courage and intuition help us feel our way. Courage helps us keep an open mind. And even when we hit hard up against our own insecurities and fears, courage helps us hold our own hand and walk forward into the unknown anyway.

Courage is fear that has said it’s prayers.

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.

      1. I read your comment on my piece about my parents on The Grief Reality. Seems like you have really been through the mill. To deal with what you have and not be crushed by it… even to share your feelings and insights with others? I see a great deal of courage there.

      2. Awww that is so lovely of you to reach out to me.. I did not make the connection before.. I will have a look at your blog.. Yes my parents were both neglected kids so that passed a lot of that down..my journey has been deeply painful and full of personal injuries due to their neglect and my longings.. but I see it all with greater clarity now as I work towards understanding and grieving and forgiving.. Bless you for reaching out to me.. I Loved your piece on loss.. Lots of love Deborah

  1. Discernment. If u follow what God is telling you to do and you can feel in your soul, you’ll achieve holiness in short order. I think we can get better at it as we’re drawn closer to God.
