Do not say you know me
When you never tried
Do not claim to be my friend
If you are going to pretend to know
The truth of my life
Be open
To the presence of me
As I will be to you
I am not the image you project
And I do not exist to be defined
By any mind
I will not do it to you
It is a very very unkind thing
To any human soul
Especially one limited, severed and traumatised
For as the wisdom poet said
We humans are not singular
We contain multitudes.
