When this infinite sorrow takes hold of my heart
I am a stranger wandering the lost lands
Set so far apart from my kin
Shadows cover my eyes as I cry silently
No one sees or ever notices me
Even as I wander their familiar streets
There is no way to make it known
What I have suffered
Nor how confused I was
When the awakening dawns
I fall to the floor in grief
But within the ruins
Can I see the pearls
That form from my tear drops
There is a stopping
That brings an arising
There is an awakening
That brings this shedding
And so it is
Infinite sorrow holds us firmly
Within its grip
For as long as it takes
A new vision of promise to arise
From the darkening night skies
Attended by the apricot tinge
Of soul’s silent dusk
