I am strong and weak
Brittle and firm
Soft and razor sharp
At times my entire being
Blows apart
Into fragments
At times my soul laments
The deepest oceans of ancestral lost
Then there is the light that dawns
On a new morning
Along with thoughts of doom
There is the darkness and the bright
The surrender and the fight
There is the landing and the flight
There is the holding on
And letting go
There is the dissolution
And the reformation
There is the emptiness and the fullness
There is the desire to love and connect
As well as the even deeper need
Of our souls for solitude
For we are not just single and linear
We human beings
We are a vast
Complexity.
