If love is an ocean

If love is an ocean

Then within the healing flow of your love

My soul is cleansed

The wave of your love

Washes through me

As tears fall

Reminding me of the endless separations

My family endured

And how so often

Love got buried so far

Underneath

Anger and anxiety

What a shame

That then we could not respond

Sensitively

To the pain inside each other’s hearts

But love it does

Have the awesome power

To resolve so much of this pain

It may take many mistakes

And layers and layers

Of ignorance and shame

That must be washed away

Before we can find the path

To truly love

And let love in again

For even as love undoes us

It shows us in the clearest way

All we lost our way to

Along the path

Of evolution

So to my mind now

The only healing solution for me
