Don’t you ever get tired of your mind
Dont you wish you could leave all this thinking behind
On those days when Gods spreads out before your gaze
A precious canopy of newness
Unsullied by human intervention
Do you ever get tired of all the ideas
Even if they seem important
And so essentially real?
Do you not just sometime long to lay your weary body down
In long grass
And hear only the whisper of
The breath of God?
Is it just me who thinks the old ways don’t work?
Who is tired of all the division, sparring and dishing out of the dirt?
That goes on under the cover of
‘Democracy’?
And what of the love that wants to birth
A new vision upon earth?
How can it happen if we just continue
To hold onto
All of our old ideas?
