The storm comes
After a while it blows away
So they say
But often pieces of wreckage
Left by the storm
Remain
Lodged deep inside
Our bodies hearts and brain
So storm dwellers seek
Relief
In places still and deep
In order to find
Peace
When echoes of the storm
Still resonate
Shattering this present moment
Lessons of suffering and truth
Replay
Churning away
Here within the center
Of our bodies
We remember everything
The storm brought
As you heal
The storm awakes
You must learn to hold yourself completely still
Breathing in and out
When not
Petrified by
Trauma freeze
Waiting for the frenzied electric breeze
Of electric shock
To pass on through
And ignite the impetus
For movement, risk and change
Do not let the storm
Keep you prisoner
Your very cells may shake and quake
But you are strong enough
To contain the charge
There is a place deep inside the eye of the storm
Where all is still
While highly charged
And even deeper
An eternal silence
Reigns
Enter this space
With your heart wide open
Remember to breathe
You are not the storm
You are pure spirit
You are the open field of Self
Surrendering
Observing
Experiencing
The resounding charge
Of all of this
Within your being
Cleansing you
Releasing pain
Surrendering worn out scripts of shame
And after it passes
You are the open field that is left
Nourished by it all
Transformed in your very core
