Thank you God for the strength of love you give to me

Thank you for the beauty of nature

The blessing of trees

Thank you for the healing rain that falls

And for the lovely birds that call

Singing such a precious song

That lingers on so deep within my memory

Thank you for the times of trial

And for all the things that broke

Its only lately I understand the reason why

Was not that I did anything wrong

It was just my life to have to face these burdens

Thank you for the gift of wisdom too

You seem to always know the truth of what I need

Even when I fight your will with all my power

Only to be led

Closer and closer

To the precipice of surrender

And thank you for the vision today

Of just how and why I had to push away

A pain that had to be accepted

So I could understand

You are all knowing and do not make mistakes

And are always there

Watching over and guiding me

Even in the darkest

And most lonely of moments
