Fall into love

I have heard

That falling in love

Is an unconscious state

That only too soon abates

When the gloss wears off

The mirages we saw

And yet I do believe

This too is a perfect starting place

But today another thought

Occurred

When the words of love you spoke

Made me drown in an ocean of tears

What if I could just say goodbye

To all of these fears

And fall into love

Like this love is an ocean

That is always there

Revealed through

Both laughter and tears

As I ride the swell

Could my soul allow

The waves to take me down

To the very bottom

To that place

Where

I find myself

Awash with life

And let go

Enduring the fall

Into love
