Driving home by the lake
I think of you both
Two young kids
A heart full of dreams
Trying your best to wage a battle
With the themes of isolation
That dogged you
Working hard each and every day
To find a more secure way to live
And when I think of how I longed
So much
For all those things there was never time for
How can I not but fall
Into foregiveness
For often in my times of deepest need
I seem to feel you both
Hovering close
Whispering your words of comfort
Telling me
How proud you are
Of the person I have become
And that is when I fall into the love I felt for you
Hidden underneath the bitter burden of hurt
I carried and cried out my eyes over
For so very long
What beautiful words. I’ve just come across your blog and I’m looking forward to reading more. Caz
