Apricot tinges
Seep through blue
Merging with the grey
Towards the ending of a day
While bare branches
Reach heavenward
Here within the calm
The ocean flows
Through my eyes
I am not surprised by this
For the body knows it all
Waits patiently upon
Nature’s life
Mirorring
Us
When all goes quiet
The setting sun
Brings tinges of the beauty
That attends
The ending of a life
Reminds the soul
Of what in being taken
Far too soon
Unravelled another life
Within the maelstrom
Of its becoming
A beautiful piece to feast on as my first for the blogging day. Eloquently written, highly evocative and so poignant. Thanks for writing such an inspiring poem
