what falls into the shadows
must be known in time
how are we to live otherwise
the entirety of us
moving ghosts who went numb
skating on a surface
that is soon to break
ice water is the force
that wakes us up
to what it truly means to live
in a body
deeply connected
to the land
take a stand
for the truth that roars
through each aching cells
and deeply through
the core of you
what is gone into shadow
must in time arise
so we can all come
undone
and
more fully alive
