God gives me the strength to face
The heart of darkness
And find the light

As parts of my ego that no longer serve me
Combust within the flames
God always reminds me
That my pain contains a lesson
And that if I choose turn my face away
I am only running away
From what must
In time
Be integrated

To look the world in the face
To know it for what it is
