I said a thousand words

But none of them rang true

And it was only when the words were out

That I realised how much my heart

Was breaking from it all

How did I discover this

By entering a place beyond the words

A place of deep feeling

By entering the eyes of a wild animal

That saw me so deeply

And so truly

I could no longer

Hide
