in the darkness

painful visions speak to you

of a past disturbed

by other’s pain

tears of black falling

like acid rain

within your soul

paralysing your present vision

it seems you cannot move

from the force of repression that ties you down

as these ghosts speak to you

of the most terrible things

please I am begging you

do not stay in your room all alone

do not allow this darkness that was never yours

to posssess your soul

but release these demons to the light of air

it may appear

that there is no place here for you

in a world so often oblivious to the desperation

of a soul beseiged by the annihilation

of despair

but life it truly cares for you

its just that when you hold this pain so close

the light and life of present time is stolen

as you become frozen

in fear and rage

and these demons so often

do not speak the truth

and as long as you fail to reach for light

they will remain victorious

in truth this darkness never belonged to you

was just a visitation calling your soul to liberation

from the haunted hell of unending pain

that so often seeks to lay its claim

upon your spirit of light
