fully alive

nature sings its song of rejoicing

after fallen rain

enlivens the atmosphere

outside my window

red autumn leaves

weep their tears

droplets of rain

reminders of both

love and lust

joy and pain

and after the crying

there is only this

to greet us

the passing of the seasons

along with the flow of life’s movement

bringing to the soul

satiation

and a new form

of spiritual freedom

as glimpses of radiant light

then appear

brightening and enlivening

the rain soaked
