What is passing

Stay with the burning up of abandonment and pain

Stay with the feelings of shame

As they move through you

Here in the midst of this fire

Its hard to see the truth

That freedom lies on the other side of clinging

Or holding onto what does not belong to you

What loves you will stay my love

Do not fear

For what is chosen for you in truth

Will remain near

Even if you try to push it away

Do not be in pain any more

Than you need to be

To realise these essential truths

For what is really meant for you

Will not go past you

And sometimes the fire must be endured

To birth the seeds of new beginning

From the ashes of the broken bones

Of what is passing
