While you are near

Tension just seems to disappear

As I bathe in the sense of love that flows

Like this gentle river

Between our two empath souls

There is a place where I am connected to you

Even though longing tells me

We are

A whole world away

And when my thoughts of doom

Brought me deeper and deeper into gloom

It was then that I realised

How often the mind

Is just a tool of separation

For it is only with the heart

That we can feel the deeper truth

And see things

As they truly are
